Description Forecasting, economic evaluation and the comparison of different economic scenarios are used to demonstrate the application of Value Navigator. Example cases include creating, forecasting, and evaluating new wells and evaluation of an acquisition target.
Course topics include:
- Entering economics *
- Reviewing economic inputs and calculating input parameters
- Creating a new well
- Filtering to analogous wells
- Creating a Type Well
- Using Cross Plots
- Creating a new well
- Forecasting production for a new well
- Entering economic parameters for the new well
- Creating a sensitivity price deck
- Using Batches and Scenarios to compare well economics based on different price scenarios
Acquisition Example:
- Adding interests for multiple companies *
- Entering capital costs for an acquisition example
- Comparing capital cost scenarios
Course Length Hands-on, 3 hours
Date and Time Thursday morning from 8:30-12:00.
Prerequisites Introduction to Value Navigator and experience using Value Navigator for forecasting and economic evaluations.
