Calgary Herald & Sun features ENI's Resonate the Arts

Energy Navigator Inc. (ENI) believes it is important for corporations to give back to the community. The company consistently donates to various local charities including their staff fundraising activities, and strives to promote the arts. For the past two years, ENI has hosted their annual client appreciation event at the Art Gallery of Calgary.

As the company has grown, so has its desire to make a positive impact in the community. Thus, ENI has launched a program to support the arts in Calgary through donations to various organizations and through sponsored events that expose their clients, partners and colleagues to the arts. The company hopes that their efforts through their “Resonate the arts” campaign will help to broaden the reach of the arts.

On April 10, 2007 ENI sponsored and hosted a “women in industry” networking and fundraising event for the Alberta Ballet. The event brought together women from the upstream oil & gas industry for an exciting networking opportunity and evening at the arts. Canada’s oldest ballet company the Royal Winnipeg Ballet performed Dracula.

At the reception prior to the ballet performance, ENI was fortunate to have several amazing speakers including Michèle Stanners, General Director of Alberta Ballet; Jean Grand-Maître, Alberta Ballet Artistic Director; Judy Murphy, Royal Winnipeg Ballet COO; Janet Sartore-DeLuca, solo dancer in full costume; and Kerri Hawkins, Royal Winnipeg Ballet National Chairman. In her opening remarks, Stephanie Grandy, Executive Vice President of Energy Navigator Inc. commented on the incredible interest shown by ENI’s clients, partners and friends. “Originally the event was conceived as an evening with 10 or 20 women. The overwhelming interest has resulted in bringing together the 80 amazing women you see here tonight. The arts are the expression of our community”.

ENI is incredibly proud to have brought powerful women together to enjoy the ballet and support our community. Many of the women who attended had never been to the ballet, and thanks to ENI they were able to experience it for the first time. Energy Navigator Inc. hopes that the arts resonated with everyone that attended. They anticipate that their annual “Resonate the arts” events will showcase the arts in Calgary to the Oil and Gas sector.
